Review and Giveaway: Happy Future Baby Products

Lori, a friend and fellow LiveMom contributor, often ends an email to me with “sniff that baby for me.” And yes, I will go and sniff my newborn baby for her. Come on, admit it… you like clean baby smell, too.

When Happy Future, a French line of baby skin care products, contacted me about doing a review and giveaway, I agreed right away since the new baby in the house gets sniffed often. And honestly, I have quite an obsession with smelly things- pleasant smells, of course. I have my sisters-in-law, who live in Germany, send me a specific fabric softener because it smells so good. I have winter, spring and summer perfumes (fall and winter share the same scent). I’ve even been toying with the idea of purchasing baby perfume. Don’t judge. Yes, a tad bit obsessed with scents I am.

Obviously, knowing this about me, one of the important things I look for in a line of baby products would be the scent. But I also want a product that is not too harsh for my baby’s delicate skin. How about organic ingredients that are also hypoallergenic? Happy Future products offered all of that. And the fact that it comes from France makes me and the baby feel very sophisticated and worldly as we are tucked way in American suburbia.

Happy Future sent me four items: Moisturizing Cream for the face and body, Non-rinse Cleansing Lotion, Non-rinse Diaper Cleansing and a Shower and Bath Cleanser. All products are hypoallergenic, paraben-free and they contain no nut oils.They are made with all natural ingredients including olive oil, aloe vera and extract of lime and they are certified as ‘pure, natural and organic’ by European Union agencies.

I have to say that I love all of the products. The shower and bath cleanser have a very delicate, apricot-vanilla smell. But my favorites are the non-rinse items. I tend to bathe the baby every other day, unless of course there is a need for a bath sooner, so having a cleanser that I can use in between bath time is wonderful. And as a side note, Leo (that’s the new little guy in my house) HATES diaper changes, but he loves when I use the cotton ball that has the soothing cleanser on it after the dreaded diaper change.

Leo gets many compliments about his nice complexion, which I am totally attributing to these products (and good family genes!).
