Rock + Read at The Domain

**Due to SXSW 2020 being canceled and out of an abundance of caution, we are postponing the Rock + Read at The Domain to a later date when the all-clear is issued for larger events to take place. Check back here for updates. Stay healthy, Austin!**

Austin families: Are you ready to ROCK?! And READ?! Looking for some family-friendly live music to listen to during SXSW? Rock + Read, presented by Hat Creek Burger Company, is an annual music and book fest that takes place on the plaza in The Domain. This year’s event is happening on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 3-7:30 pm.

Kids of all ages will enjoy the hands-on activities, book signings, giveaways, and more at this FREE event!

The music lineup, curated by KUTX 98.9’s Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child family radio show, features:

3:00-3:30 – Ms. Kat’s Music
3:45-4:15 – The Que Pastas
4:30-5:00 – Adam & the Bull Shark
5:15-5:45 – El Tule
6:00-6:30 – SaulPaul
6:45-7:30 – mömandpöp

In between music sets, kids will delight in stories being read on stage by local authors. The author lineup features:

4:15-4:30 – Donna Janell Bowman

6:30-6:45 – Kat Kronenberg

Be sure to visit the authors after their readings in the Do512 Family Book Tent where kids can buy their very own signed copy of their favorite book and make a scratch bookmark to take home.

Recommended for kids ages 0-100!

Additional activities include:
