Support Emancipet While Enjoying Local Treats

Emancipet fundraiser

Animal lovers and foodies rejoice! Emancipet’s fifth annual Sit Stay Day returns on Feb. 13, and the popular Sit Stay Day kits are now available. The kits are chock-full of gourmet foods, drinks, pet treats, goodies, and more from local businesses.

Emancipet’s Sit Stay Day is an innovative fundraiser in which dozens of local businesses donate food and drink items and other goodies that Emancipet assembles into kits and delivers to homes or offices the day before Valentine’s Day.

The kits contain everything needed for a romantic dinner for two on Valentine’s Day—Tito’s Handmade Vodka, delectable sweets from LovePuppies Brownies, baked goods from Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, bags of popcorn from Cornucopia, healthy snacks from Beanitos and KIND Healthy Snacks, beer, ingredients for a delicious vegetarian meal from Whole Foods, and much, much more. The kits also contain several treats for Austinites’ beloved furry friends, gift cards to local hot spots, and other assorted goodies from Austin businesses.

Each kit purchase helps Emancipet provide affordable, accessible spay/neuter and preventive care to pets in need. In 2014, Emancipet had more than 50,000 visits at its healthy pet clinics and performed more than 25,000 spay/neuter surgeries.
Advertisement“Every pet we care for is provided with the highest quality medical care, at a price their owners can afford, even if they can’t pay anything at all. Not only is Sit Stay Day unique, fun, and delicious, it’s an important piece of helping us meet the growing need for affordable preventive veterinary care and spay/neuter services,” says Emancipet CEO Amy Mills.

Emancipet will deliver 250 Sit Stay Day kits on Feb. 13. More than 90 kits have already been spoken for, so people are strongly encouraged to order theirs early before they are all gone.
