Pflugerville Music in the Park (The Rust Tones)- Friday, July 12 from 7:30- 9:30pm. Stargazing at the Roughs- Friday, July 12 from 9- 10:30pm. FREE, all ages. Don’t miss this opportunity for the whole family to explore the galaxy together as our astronomer takes you on a tour of the Milky Way that’s truly out of this world! Behold the wonder of the cosmos through our Dobsonian telescopes and venture beyond the boundaries of our planet Earth. Friday Family Fun Night- Friday, July 12 at 6:30pm. Magician JD Stewart brings amazing magic, improvisation and hilarious comedy to his show! Music Under the Star – Friday, July 12, from 6 – 9 p.m. Every Friday in July, bring your camp chairs and blankets (but no coolers, please) and dance the evening away to the hottest sounds in Austin. This FREE concert series features a fantastic line-up of Texas musicians who will play from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Bullock Museum’s Lone Star Plaza. This week, you can hear Elana James with special guest Katie Holmes Project.  In between sets, cool off with a trip through the exhibits, which will be FREE and open to the public during the concerts. Kids can decorate wooden star cutouts and turn them into wearable art: pins, necklaces, bolo ties and more! Bullock Texas State History Museum, 1800 N. Flying Theater Machine presents: Fairly Silly Fairy Tales! Saturday, July 13th at 11:00am.  Join us for kid-oriented improv, where the audience participates with suggestions, sound effects, and acting! Fairly Silly Fairy Tales takes some of your favorite fairy tales, and finds new ways to mix them up – with the help of the audience. You never know what will happen until the end! These are stories like no others because you help create them. In fact, you might even end up in the show! Every second Saturday of the month, AMOA-Arthouse offers hands-on art making workshops at Laguna Gloria, inspired by the exhibitions on view. Join us between 11am–3pm to see family-friendly performances, meet local artists, and make art to take home. Recommended for ages 2–11. Sculpt an edible portrait inspired by art on view in the Driscoll Villa. We’ll borrow items from the kitchen to make these funny faces—you won’t know whether to eat it or display it! Safe Summer Event- Saturday, July 13 from 11am- 1pm. Join us as we visit with law enforcement professionals from the Georgetown area to learn how they work to keep us safe. Participants include the Georgetown Police Department, Fire Department, EMS, WilCo Crime Stoppers, Animal Protection Services/ Adoption Center, NextCare Urgent Care, Williamson County Health District, YMCA, and more! There will also be complimentary face painting, kids arts & crafts, snowcones and interaction with Wolf Ranch retailers. And, the first 100 guests will have the opportunity to grab a free goodie bag!  The event will be under a large white tent in the parking lot between Yankee Candle and Ross. The Funnybun Family Picnic- Saturday, July 13 at 2pm (pay what you like) and 4pm, Sunday, July 14 at 4pm with a special pay what you like party that will follow. It’s a fine summer Saturday and the Funnybuns are preparing to go off on their annual family picnic. But, being a clown family, nothing goes as planned. Papa Willie tries hard to keep the kids laughing, while Mama Lindy keeps putting on band-aids. Brother Happy likes to rope, roughhouse and goof off. But sister Buffy wants none of it. She’s embarrassed by her clown family, and wants to be different. Willie has a sad but true secret, one that threatens to pull the family apart. Can Buffy find a way to follow her dreams? Charlotte’s Web- Saturday, July 13 at 11am and 1pm and Sunday, July 14 at 12:30 and 2:30pm. The beloved childhood classic, based on the book by E.B. White and  re-imagined by acclaimed director Jenny Larson, is a play that will enchant audiences with a story of loyalty and friendship. Wilbur, an affectionate and spirited pig, is valiantly saved by a young girl named Fern from a deadly fate. But after being sent away to live on the Zuckerman farm, Wilbur finds it difficult to adjust without Fern. Wilbur soon befriends some local farm animals, including a kindhearted and clever spider named Charlotte. Unbeknownst to Wilbur, he is being well fed to meet his tragic fate. In an effort to save Wilbur’s life, Charlotte weaves a plan with the help of an unlikely character. This new adaptation captures a warmhearted tale with the help of live music arranged by Emily Marks, captivating puppetry designed by Caroline Reck, video projections by Chris Hatcher, and a stellar cast. Austin Symphony Hartman Foundation “Concerts in the Park” - Sunday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. In its eleventh summer season, these FREE concerts take place in the Hartman Concert Park in front of the Long Center City Terrace. Each Sunday, a different ensemble of the Austin Symphony will be featured. This Sunday, it will be Brass. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and blanket and make it a group outing. Central Market North Lamar– Live music and dancing, oh my!  This is a great spot for parents to enjoy music while letting their kids burn some energy on the playground.  There are also ducks to feed in the nearby pond.  Fridays and Saturdays from 6:30- 9:00pm. Central Market, North Lamar Blvd.

Craft Time for Kids- Bring the kids to get crafty. The crafts change weekly and usually are themed for particular holidays or seasons. FREE!! Saturday, 11:00am- 3:00pm. Lakeshore Learning Center, 9828 Great Hills Trail.

BookKids Storytime- Join the wonderful staff at BookPeople as they entertain your kiddos with stories, crafts, guest storytellers, and sometimes even puppets! Saturday mornings at 11:30am. FREE!! BookPeople, 603 N. Lamar Blvd.

Cirque du Steve -Saturday at 10 a.m. What’s the Story Steve? transforms into an improvised circus! Follow the Bearded Lady, the Clown Crew and a host of other circus characters through adventures based on audience suggestions. Join the Move Your Tale troupe onstage to create original characters! Flying Theater Machine: Dinosaurs- Sunday, 2pm. Join the Award-Winning Flying Theater Machine every Sunday at 2pm in July and August as we explore what it was like to be a Dinosaur! Can T-Rex and Triceratops ever get along?  Will the Dino families be able to accept a big purple dinosaur?  What will Maiasaura do when the Ovarapter moves in next door!?!  We don’t know until the show happens, and you can help us.  Feel free to come along in Dinosaur costume we may need your help on stage. Whole Foods Kids’ Club - Sunday, 1:00pm. Hey kids, stop by and check out what’s going on at Kid’s Club. Sunday Funday- Sunday, from 3-4pm. Every Sunday we open up our big back room and invite you to enjoy unplugged play time. Get out of the house and get your little ones socializing.
