Free Admission to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center – Tuesday, January 14 – Saturday, January 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, January 19 from Noon to 5 p.m. Enjoy all the center has to offer for FREE including indoor art exhibits, store, café and Little House for kids. Baby Bloomers – Monday, January 13 from 9 a.m. to Noon. Baby Bloomers is an opportunity for children age 0-3 and their families to experience the Thinkery together in an environment focused on early learners. Guided activities like Storytime, Sing-alongs, and Little Explorers Lab time are designed to engage the youngest visitors in fun learning and investigation. Story Time at The Rhythm Studio – Monday, January 13 from 10-10:30 a.m. Develop your toddler’s pre-literacy skills in this 30 minute magical musical event. During this story time, participants will explore an age-appropriate book and then sing, dance, and play to build a foundation for a life-long love of the arts. Toddlers from 1 to 2 years old and their caregivers will enjoy this bonding and socializing time in a safe atmosphere. Lego Lab – Monday, January 13 at 3:30 p.m. With LEGO, you can build anything you can imagine and tell any story you can dream up. Big Band Bash (Lakeway) – Monday, January 13 at 7:30 p.m. Put on your dancing shoes and bring your own beverages and snacks. Enjoy big band music from the 17-piece Republic of Texas Big Band, featuring David Cummings and Lisa Clark on vocals. FREE and open to all ages. (The band accepts donations after the show.) Creative Movement Preschool Dance – Wednesday, January 15 at 9:30 a.m. Take advantage of this FREE sample class! Grow your child’s imagination and rejuvenate your playful spirit with this interactive creative movement class. This class will include everything from parent-child cooperative activities, song and dance, yoga, imaginative play, and mini lessons on anatomy, nature, letters, and numbers. This is not a dance technique class. Emphasis is on playing together and promoting physical activity. Round Rock Drums Dress Rehearsal (Round Rock) – Thursday, January 16 at 4:30 p.m. Round Rock Drums were personally invited by an America’s Got Talent casting agent to audition in Houston on Saturday, January 18th and they have a chance to win a spot on the nationally televised talent program. The entire community is invited to come and watch Round Rock Drums perform a dress rehearsal show. The kids would love an opportunity to perform before a live audience prior to their audition. FREE! Storytime Art- Friday January 17 from 10:45 – 11:45 a.m. Storytime Art, or StArt! is a great opportunity for your young child to experience art! Storytimes are geared to the 3 – 5 year old preschooler, but some projects could easily translate into a Mommy and Me project for those a little younger. And, of course, anyone older is welcome, as well! Storytimes always include at least one book and a related art project, but often include surprises like songs, poems, crafts and coloring pages. Williamson County Courthouse Tours (Georgetown) – Friday, January 17 at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. In celebration of the Williamson Museum’s 10th anniversary, FREE guided tours of the historic county courthouse will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays throughout January. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Tours begin at The Williamson Museum, 716 S Austin Ave, Georgetown.
